down early this morning. in san francisco city crews spent this day clearing out clogged drains and the public works department says it's expected to be a weekend long task. you can see one of the biggest rocks actually blocked one of the lanes forcing drivers to slow down and go around it. we have team coverage for you tonight. chief meteorologist bill martin is in the ktvu weather center where he's been tracking the storm all day. maureen naylor is standing by but we begin with jana katsuyama where it's been raining. in healdsburg. >> reporter: see how wet the ground is, all of that water is seeping into the ground and ending up in local rivers and streams this is the russian river. you can see how fast it is going. it could reach near flood levels by the time the next storm finishes. rain is drenching almost soaked roads. areas stream, rivers and low lying areas are flooding. with two storms down there's still one more to go. a storm watch is in effect. >> the storm surge is down 2- 1/2 feet below the bottom of the bridge. >> reporter: although water levels dropped today wit

an exclusive interview with john boehner. >> heather: new details on a murder-suicide in kansas city reportedly involving a football player for the kansas city chiefs. police say that 25-year-old ja vochb bel cher shot his girlfriend and drove to the stadium and shot himself in front of the general manager. elizabeth pran is live with more on the disturbing story. >> after four successful years with the kansas city kheefgs, police say 25-year-old that he shot and killed himself before the coach and general manager right outside in front of a training facility. this shortly after police say he shot his girlfriend multiple times at a home only five miles from the stadium. police have not released the identity of bel cher's girlfriend nor have they confirmed that the woman's mother and toddler were at the home at the time of the shooting. second shooting caused the whole facility go on lockdown and the community is digesting what happened. >> we're talking about kids that are 25 years old playing in circumstances that most of us would never dream of and living lives in fish bowls. sometimes it bec

city as a republican and he was a frontrunner back in 2008, if you remember. before we went into the primaries and had such a disastrous campaign, he was a pro-choice candidate who was 22 points up among evangelicals because they saw him as such a strong and courageous leader and america's mayor. i think that there is room for that. i think those two candidates that you mentioned -- it wasn't so much their position on abortion or being pro-life per se. it was one had a much more extreme position and the other one was just sort of medieval. he had this really bizarre idea about women. i don't even want to get into it. it was ridiculous. and as you saw, the gop absolutely denounced his views on that. >> let me very quickly let maria weigh in here and give you the final word. >> well, so i agree with amy that the gop should get credit for the diversity that they have in governorships, but it's not enough. because leadership positions do actually happen to be very important in congress where you actually pass bills that are going to affect what the changing demographics of ameri
